DESCRIPTION:Special Consensus celebrated its milestone 50th anniversary in 
 2025\, marking five decades as one of bluegrass music’s most respected a
 nd enduring bands. Led by founder Greg Cahill\, the group continues to de
 liver a vibrant contemporary bluegrass sound deeply rooted in tradition wh
 ile remaining committed to innovation and musical excellence. Over the yea
 rs\, Special C has released 22 recordings and received two Grammy nominati
 ons and eight International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) awards. In 
 June 2025\, the band released its newest album\, Been All Around This Wor
 ld\, on the Nashville-based Compass Records label to celebrate its Golden 
 Anniversary.\nGreg Cahill\, a recipient of the prestigious IBMA Distinguis
 hed Achievement Award and an inductee into the Society for the Preservatio
 n of Bluegrass Music in America (SPBGMA) Hall of Greats\, has guided the b
 and through five decades of growth and success. The band's longevity and c
 ontinued relevance are a testament to its enduring artistry\, influence\, 
 and dedication to the bluegrass tradition.\n\nSpecial Consensus’ sound i
 s grounded in a deep appreciation and understanding of bluegrass music\, i
 ncorporating both the drive and harmonies of the traditional sound with th
 e contemporary influences and repertoire of today. With the foundation of 
 Greg’s unique banjo style and the vocal prowess of 2023 and 2025 IBMA Ma
 le Vocalist of the Year Greg Blake (guitar and vocals)\, Brian McCarty
  (mandolin and vocals)\, and Nico Humby (bass and vocals)\, the band ma
 intains its bluegrass center whether performing a jazz-tinged instrumental
  or a song from its award-winning catalog. These four talented vocalists a
